It seems that the UK capital market is not ready to hand over the title as the most active market in Europe since it keeps producing new brokers, and new participants join the market on a daily basis. The UK is the go-to place for all Europeans if they want to engage in spread betting, CFD trading, Forex, etc. London has been the main financial center along New York since the beginnings of the market, and it has dominated the industry in Europe to this very day. Thanks to the online platforms, many Europeans and others are able to participate in the most vivid market. InterTrader is also a broker who comes from the UK and who already made a name in the industry. What the broker offers and what one can do with an InterTrader account is discussed below.

Brief History of InterTrader
InterTrader was established several years ago, in 2009, when many brokers also entered the industry. We could say that the 2009 year was the year of the brokers, but yet every year seems to be the year of brokers. 2009 is specific because the capital markets and global economy started to recover from the global crisis that hit the world in 2007/2008, and InterTrader seized the moment of recovery to launch its business model. Being based in the UK, the broker is under the supervision of the FCA, the British giant force behind the insurance companies, pension funds, Forex brokers, and others in the capital market. So far we can say that InterTrader is in good hands and that traders are protected to some extent in the risky business. InterTrader is also one of the leading spread betting brokers, but the UK government decided to keep that under FCA control, too, instead of the Gambling Commission.
Platforms
InterTrader offers two kinds of platforms. The first is the InterTrader Webtrader, the proprietary platform of the broker which is designed for CFD, spread betting, and market making. The platform is known for enabling quick access to numerous markets and fast trade execution. The interface of this platform is more than lovely with all the conveniences that enhance the trading experience. The other is the desktop MT4 version for all the mainstream traders who stick to the convenient classic Meta Trader 4. Once registered on this platform, users can activate the MT4 Direct terminal for direct market access. InterTrader mobile apps are also available for traders on the move.
Account Types
The broker offers two accounts:
- InterTrader Webtrader account
- MT4 account
The good thing is that you can register without having to deposit any money, but of course, when you are ready to trade, you have to deposit some money. The amount is not specified, which means that you need to contact customer support to find out or read their policy on calculating the minimum deposit needed for trading which is based on multiplying the minimum margin of the relevant market by the unit stake. The minimum margins can be found on the broker’s website where you can calculate the minimum deposit yourself. There is also a Limited Risk account where the trader is ensured on a specified amount through the Guaranteed Stop option which does not let you lose more than specified.
InterTrader Bonus
The InterTrader Welcome bonus can go up to astonishing 10,000 GBP trading credit. Other special offers include friend referrals whereby 1000 GBP can be earned in the form of trading credit. The rules are somewhat specific by requesting you and your friend to deposit at least 250 GBP, and to trade a certain amount of time (e.g. each of you has to place 10 non-equity trades). The friend referral bonus is limited to a maximum of 5 friends. Spread betting traders are also being rewarded with a rebate bonus of 10%, when they trade over a certain amount. This is called a loyalty bonus and includes active traders who really spend enough money on deposits.
Funding Options
The broker tries to maintain the security of the transactions that take place between traders and the broker. Therefore, InterTrader only accepts secure transfer methods, like bank wire, credit cards, cheques, and from e-wallets, just Skrill. It is important to mention that the method of deposit has to be the method of withdrawal. The requested funds will be transferred to the source you deposited from, except for MasterCard payments. If you happen to transfer over MasterCard, the broker will send the requested amount to your bank account. It is free of charge for UK citizens, while internationals will be charged 20 GBP (for amounts under 1000 GBP).
Customer Support
The broker offers all the major contact forms. You can send an e-mail, call them, reach them via instant live chat and the post. An important reminder is that the major general questions are covered in the FAQ section, and we would kindly recommend going through the section before calling customer support. For all specific questions, it is better to call the support team which will be happy to help you.
